Yes, of course I know WHY they would do it. Thing is, I went to this particular restaurant one Friday because I knew they were on Dosh. Except then they weren’t. So, I felt tricked. Definitely check the app that day before you patronize!

Costco is listed as a Dosh merchant at 3% cashback, although it does look like there may be a cap of $10 in annual cashback (which obviously isn’t very much).

Is Costco a Dash merchant? If so, at what % for regular purchases?

It’s really not sneaky if you consider why a restaurant would work with Dosh. On slow days, they are happy to pay Dosh to attract some more business; any additional customer helps defray their fixed costs.

It wouldn’t make much sense to do so on Fridays and Saturdays when they probably have no problem filling up the place. Just like you wouldn’t put someone out on the sidewalk trying to get people to come in (is there a name for that?) when all your tables are already filled.

Unfortunately, Dosh doesn’t have that info readily available on their website as far as I can see.

That said, if you download the app and open it, there’s a “What’s Nearby” map that shows the businesses they have near you. That essentially accomplishes what you’re looking for and you don’t even have to create an account/enter any credit card info before doing it.
