A lot of men and women strive to get a good set of six pack abs. The thing is, they go about their training all wrong. They see the infomercials that offer them the next best piece of equipment that is going to give them a flat stomach, and all these machines do is make their wallet smaller.

There’s only one way to get a flat stomach and that is with proper exercise and a good meal plan. You won’t get a six pack stomach if you buy the latest gadget, and then work on your abs for 10 minutes a day. That will never work.

To get a flat stomach you have to burn fat from your whole body. These gadget manufacturers will lead you to believe that training your abs for 10 minutes a day will burn the fat from them faster.

In order for your body to burn fat you have to train with weights. Training with weights increases your muscle mass, and then your body will begin to burn more calories even when you are resting.

As your body does this your fat percentage is lowered, and then you speed up your metabolism. And then your abs begin to show which makes you feel better and feel like increasing the intensity in your workouts.

To help your body burn more fat you must stop it from storing fat. To do this you have to eat smaller meals more regularly. When you go too long without eating your body goes into starvation mode where it begins to store fat.

As your body starts storing fat it will also begin to eat away at your muscles as these burn more calories than fat. When you feed your body regularly it doesn’t have any need to store fat or eat away at your muscles.

Once you get the balance right of exercise and a good diet you’ll soon start seeing the results for your efforts.
